Location

Stanthorpe, 220 kilometres south-west of Brisbane, is the commercial centre for the area known as “The Granite Belt”.

The plateau is the northern extension of the New England Tableland and has unique climatic and geographic characteristics. The Granite Belt ranges between 800 and 1000 metres above sea-level. This elevation gives mild summers and cold winters.

The cool nights in summer allow for long ripening of the grapes to give cool/cold climate characters in the wines. This area is gaining a wide reputation for producing premium wines.
