Application to become an Associate Judge

The Show: The Australian Small Winemakers Show is Australia’s leading showcase of wines from wineries across Australia and New Zealand that process less than 500 tonnes of fruit per vintage. In 2024, over 800 entries from over 150 wineries were entered into the show.

One of the goals of the Australian Small Winemakers Show is to offer the opportunity for wine industry representatives to gain experience in wine show judging by becoming associate judges. Through the associate judging program, it is the hope of the Australian Small Winemakers Show committee that individuals gain experience that will benefit themselves and the broader wine industry.

In 2024, in addition to the team of 6 experienced judges, there will be six (4) associate positions available.

The Australian Small Winemakers Show would like to extend an opportunity for suitably qualified or experienced individuals from the wine industry to apply for an associate judging position for 2024.

If you would like to become an associate judge at the 2024 Australian Small Winemakers Show and become part of the friendly dedicated team that makes this show such a success, please address the criteria below and email your application to info@asws.com.au.

Applications close COB 1 July 2024 and successful applicants will be advised by email soon after.
Applicants must make themselves exclusively available to the show from 8am, Saturday October 19 till 4pm Tuesday, 22 October 2024 and be able to attend all evening functions between those dates.
Associate judges will need to arrange their own accommodation and transport to and from the show and functions. However, a shuttle service is provided for judges to/from evening functions provided accommodation is near the judging venue.
Applicants who have previously been associate judges at the Australian Small Winemakers Show are welcome to apply again to become associate judges in 2024.
